I came home from services last Shabbat.
Connor greeted me at the door with an excited, "I had donut!!"
"Good for you, sweetie," I told him.
I walked to the kitchen and saw an empty Krispy Kreme box.
"Wow, a lot of donuts, it looks like," I said.
"Yeah! We had donuts for dinner," added Ari.
He paused.
"Daddy lost his mind."
Donuts for dinner!!! Well, if you're gonna lose your mind you might as well do it at Krispy Kreme's!!! Hail to you, Michal, for seeing the humor in it, and Hail to you, Jonathan, for knowing where to go nuts! And Hail to those sharp kiddies to know what it takes to have donuts for dinner. (You've gotta have lost your mind!)
