Honoring my grandfather

My grandmother married Avraham when I was in my early teens, and he was my grandfather in every way but blood relation.  In their house was a framed newspaper clipping from when he was in the audience in Tel Aviv the day the UN announced the creation of the State of Israel.  Now it hangs in my office.  And I had a plaque made. :)

  1. It warms my heart that you honor Avraham in this way, after the greatest honor you paid him by naming your son, Ari, after him. There never was a gentler, honest, more loving person than Avraham. He adored your family, was utterly captivated by Xander who was
one-and-a-half years old when they met.

His love for your family could only be matched by his love for the State of Israel to whose existence he contributed so much of himself, from serving in its wars and fighting for peace. Thank you for this recognition.
